Annual Presidents and Principals Breakfast – August 22, 2025
The annual Presidents and Principals Breakfast was held on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the iconic Dave & Buster’s on International Drive. While playtime was not included, great leaders dined, socialized, and learned together. Our 160 guests were treated to PTA and OCPS insights that are crucial to the work of our PTAs within our schools.
Newly elected President Kimberly Adamski welcomed everyone, and the PTA presentations proudly highlighted the impactful work of PTAs in our schools. OCCPTA Past Presidents Williams, Crumbaker, and Milano a d Florida PTA Executive Director Misa Mills were also among our honored guests.
Vice President of Regions and Council, Shelly Pedraza, delivered greetings on behalf of President Maxine Lewers, and shared PTA’s recent advocacy efforts, including joining a class-action lawsuit against the Florida Department of Education to recover federal funds cut from the budget. Just two days later, some of those funds were restored.
Deputy Superintendent Dr. Bridget Williams extended greetings on behalf of Superintendent Vasquez. She commended the volunteers’ work and reiterated the district’s unwavering support. Several School Board Members were present, including Chair Jacobs and other members of her Cabinet.
Pam Carson and Vaido Jagmohan took the stage to address the new Additions/PIE system requirements, emphasizing the importance of ensuring volunteers are properly registered and log their hours.
This wonderful event was coordinated by Melanie Williams, OCCPTA 1st Vice President, who would like to express her gratitude to all the Presidents and Principals who attended, our gracious hosts Stephanie Morse and Jacobi of Dave & Buster’s, our generous vendors, and the fellow Board Members who contributed to the planning and execution of this event.
